IN THE RUSSIAN SEGMENT OF INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION

Abstract

Keywords

The article deals with information-control system moder-

nization of the Russian segment at the International Space

Station. This system provides implementation of various

space experiments conducted onboard the International

Space Station. Due to the increasing complexity of space

experiments to be conducted onboard the station, the

existing performance capabilities and computational re-

sources of the information-control system seem to be insuf-

ficient. In our paper we examine all stages of updating the

information-control system and analyze the performance of

already modernized equipment on the basis of the most

significant experiments. Findings of the research show that

the modernization was effective, and it was confirmed by

the results obtained during the space experiments conduc-

ted on the basis of the information-control system
