The rod oscillator gyroscope is considered. A two-dimensional model of the elastic-and-mass system with two degrees of freedom is applied to analyze the motion of the gyroscope resonator made in a form of a balk. The model allows obtaining analytical expressions that describe the resonator behavior with an adequate precision. The complete expressions are given that characterize the motion of an arbitrary point at the elastic resonator axis.
