Asymptotic Characteristics of Power Receiver Detection

A discrete (digital) version of a power receiver is considered. Approximated formulae to calculate detection characteristics of a power receiver are offered. An accuracy of the formulae is checked and one of them is recommended for use as the most valid within a broad range of values of the sample space for random vectors of observations. Statistics of the generalized power receiver is obtained which takes into account the correlativity of both a random signal and noise.
