A method of laser sounding is considered which is applied for inspection of a shape of aspheric surfaces of optical parts. Its theoretical analysis is conducted in view of forming a signal in the optical and electronic path of the inspection device operating in accordance with the laser sounding method. The feasibility to develop such an inspection device on the basis of the grinding-and-polishing machine "ShP-350" is analyzed.
