Transient Processes in the Frequency Synthesizer with Simultaneously Switched Paths of Frequency-Locked Loop and Control Channels of Phase-Locked Loop

Analytical expressions for duration of transient processes in phase-locked loop (PLL) with simultaneous switching of control channels and frequency-locked loop paths, i.e., for analog (main) and for digital (auxiliary, used for the initial frequency adjustment of the synthesizer output signal) chains are found. The expressions are derived with consideration for the beating mode during the PLL digital chain (frequency-locked loop) operation. The comparison of results of calculations using these expressions with results of modeling of PLL transient processes using MATLAB Simulink is performed.
