Criteria of estimation of the sensing/recording quality of magnetic oscilloscope waveforms, which provides adequate data sensing, are considered. Distortions occurring in visualization of the magnetic oscilloscope waveforms are analyzed. Boundary values of spatial periods of the recorded magnetic oscilloscope waveforms, which correspond to the visual patterns without distortion, are calculated. Recommendations are given on choosing parameters of two-layer magnetic media to ensure specified levels of the optical sensing efficiency, image contrast and range of reproduced spatial periods.
