In mathematical simulation of the pulse dispersion characteristic of a located object with the complex surface shape the necessity occurs to approximate individual parts of the surface with elements featuring more simple geometry, which brings to errors of calculation results. By an example of approximation of rotation surfaces with flat rectangular and triangular finite elements the error estimates are obtained which allow one to choose the most acceptable size of a side of the finite element to satisfy the given limit value of an error.
