Analysis of Methods for Differentiation of Laser Printers according to Images of Strokes of Letter Characters

Results of modern studies in the field of printing devicedifferentiation on the basis of separation of characteristics of errors, created by them in the printed documents, are analyzed. This field of studies is urgent for the purposes of technical-forensic expertise of documents for revealing a possible forgery in them. Methods are considered for numerical description of toner distributions arising due to defects and inhomogeneity of parameters of basic assemblies of printing devices and cartridges' of laser printers.
