The algorithm of difference frequency signal processing for autonomous system of altitude fixation, being used in high-speed flying small-sized vehicles, is designed. Continuous linear frequency modulation signal is used as a probe signal, that provides high quality distance and speed resolution. The algorithm is based on the spectral analysis of difference frequency signal. We calculated the basic parameters of probe and modulating signals. Moreover, we designed a functional scheme of autonomous system of altitude fixation, using the described algorithm. In addition to it, we designed a mathematical model of the system and verified the algorithm operability. We assessed the impact the noise at receiver entrance has on system performance. To explore the algorithm noise immunity, a dependence of altitude fixation on noise level is obtained.
